After making numerous phone calls that went unanswered to hire a contractor to complete my projects (14 vinyl replacement windows, kitchen counter / cabinets, bathroom tub surround / toilet / sink, 3 exterior door installs, complete drywall replacement with tongue and groove below chair rail in guest bedroom and front entrance), as well as meeting with one (who could not give me an estimate, but an hourly rate which was quite exorbitant), I was relieved to find the professional that was Ben Codere of Codere Construction Inc. From the first day on the job to the last, Ben was a true professional whose erudition and skill was shown through both his work and our conversations. During the entire project he catered to my needs, was readily available to listen to my concerns, had creative ideas (like the tongue and groove / chair rail – that I never would have thought of had he not mentioned it), and made sure things were neat and tidy / cleaned up before he went home. I couldn’t be happier with the job Ben did, and only wish I had more money available to have him continue working for me.
The next time I have a need for a contractor I will certainly call Ben Codere since he not only did a fantastic job completing my projects, but was a top-notch professional every step of the way.

I am property manager for vacation rental properties and have not only hired Codere Construction for several small jobs on behalf of my owners, I have also recommended him for several large remodeling projects. He is as capable and efficient of a timely completion for a small (up to several hundred dollars) job as he is for a large (over $100K) job. If Ben agrees to do something, he will complete the project within the time frame allotted as well as within the estimate provided. Anything unexpected is communicated clearly and proactively. When my house suffered water damage as a result of roof leakage, the interior job site was left in immaculate condition and superior work was completed on time. My out of state inquiries were answered the same day. Codere Construction was able to save me a lot of money by reusing the bead board affected rather than purchasing new material. Codere and his crew are are very respectful with fun personalities that make them easy to have working in your home.

Consultation, on short notice, for barn restoration. Ben Codere was recommended by a close friend and he did not disappoint: 100% punctual for scheduled arrivals to property, always following up and checking in, polite and courteous, always asking for permission to bring other consultants and subcontractors through the property beforehand. Ultimately, the project did not proceed (by no means due to any concern about Codere Construction) and Ben was always kind and thankful. We look forward to utilizing his services in the future.

Codere construction did an incredible job to remodel an old beach house. They basically took the house to its studs, then put it back together to make it look like an incredible modern day beach cottage. This included opening up walls, a complete kitchen remodel, jacking the house up to level it, ripping up all carpet up and restoring the original hardwood floors (which are now gorgeous, building a bunk room, installing insulation then wainscoting and drywall, installing new doors, and lots of painting. They were resourceful to keep the original much of the original material (doors, trim, etc.) to keep costs low and retain its charm and history. Ben and his crew are reliable, dedicated, and work within budget. And, he is there after to take care of loose ends after as needed. Ben will be doing more work for us for sure!

Ben Codere is versed in using many building products. I am a manufacturer’s rep for a high end PVC trim, decking, and rail company, and would recommend Ben for any job, small, or large. He is a trained professional with many amazing completed jobs in his portfolio.

Ben did a beautiful job fully gutting and renovating our eat-in kitchen in 2012. From new drywall, ceiling, electrical, tile floor, cabinets, granite counters, paint, backsplash and more, he coordinated all vendors efficiently and remained within a reasonable but realistic budget.
